For 2022 the Buses Festival moved to a new venue, Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire, having spent a year at the East of England Showground. Organised by Key Publishing Buses Magazine. 

The event attracted a good entry of varied bus and coach types both restored classic and current in service vehicles. During the day visitors were able to go on a short ride out around the country roads on a number of the exhibiting vehicles. 

Aside from the vehicles on display there was a trade area where anything bus and coach related could be bought including spare parts, books, photos and models. The area also had an area where bus and coach films were being shown. 

Awards were given at the event the following were winners;

Best modern coach – Irizar i4 C80F Scania K360IB6, Masons YMA-81, YN22 YMA, 2022

Best preserved single-decker – ECW Dennis Lancet, Southern Vectis 516, DL 9706, 1935

Best preserved double-decker – Roe Crossley DD42/3, Northampton Corporation 146, VV 9146, 1946

Best preserved coach – Burlingham Seagull Leyland Tiger Cub, Whittles Coaches, PUJ 781, 1957
