The replica Smokey and the Bandit Kenworth will be making its Truckfest debut.

One of Europe’s largest trucking festivals returns to the East of England Arena & Showground on May 5th & 6th as Truckfest 2019 is held, now in its 27th year. The annual showcase for the road haulage industry and all things trucking has again attracted a large entry of road going working trucks from around the Country. These will be joined by classic trucks, recovery trucks, pristine show trucks and the latest models from the major manufacturers. A first for the show this year will be the first ‘Firefest’ a gathering of both old and new fire engines and emergency vehicles. Of the custom trucks on display one that will be making its public debut is Daniel Wilkin’s Greatest Showman DAF while making its return all the way from Poland is the 303Sqn Scania painted to commemorate the Famous Polish R.A.F. Squadron from World War Two. Another truck making its Truckfest debut will be a replica of the Kenworth from Smokey and the Bandit complete with fully painted trailer. On Sunday in the TRP main arena the lifetime achievement will be presented to an as yet undisclosed haulier while on Monday afternoon the main awards will be presented.
