The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show with Discovery returns to the National Exhibition Centre Birmingham this November for the largest indoor classic vehicle show in the U.K. The show runs from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th November with tickets available in advance or at the event. The show is now one of the largest held at the NEC and caters for all tastes in classic cars with 300 clubs in attendance, along with them are some of the Countries leading specialists in the industry. There will also be the centre piece displays and competitions which include Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership, Meguirs Club Showcase and the Classic American Car of the Year. As well as road cars there will be historic race cars on display too including displays from Historic Sports Car Club, Vintage Sports Car Club and British Woman’s Race Drivers Club. Each year the show has a theme and for its 35th anniversary the theme will be Top Trumps. I n a show first the organisers, with headline sponsors Lancaster Insurance are working with Winning Moves, owners of the Top Trump brand, to bring the game to life. Motoring enthusiasts of all ages will be able to enjoy the game in a variety of ways as they explore the show. In addition to this show main sponsor, Lancaster Insurance, also reaching its 35th year the insurance specialist will launch a special edition of Top Trumps at the show.

The show also offers the opportunity to buy yourself a classic with a number of specialist dealers in attendance while the Silverstone auction will offer over 100 cars including examples formerly owned by Cliff Richard and Lulu. Specialist parts suppliers will also be in attendance at the show while the famous auto jumble provides the opportunity to have a rummage through to find that elusive part, model. Picture or book for your collection. Live action at the show in the form of the Practical Classics practical challenge, Restoration Theatre and the guests on the Discovery live stage to include motoring celebrities Mike Brewer, The Goblin Works Crew, Salvage Hunters, BTCC driver Jason Plato (Saturday) plus others to be announced. The Sporting Bears will give you the opportunity to have a ride in the classic car of your choice for a charitable donation starting from £10 depending on the car you choose, between 70-100 cars will be available during the show. If you would like to drive a dream classic, then head for HERO arrive and drive. They will be offering the opportunity to drive one of five cars around a four-mile course in the NEC grounds, cars available will be Jaguar E-Type, Lancia Delta Intregrale Martini, VW Golf GTi Mk1, MGB Roadster or Triumph TR4a. On Saturday there will be a special indoor stage for the RAC Rally of the Tests, marking the half-way point of the rally competitors will compete a speed and agility test.

If your taste is more for two wheels the event also has the Classic Motorcycle show. As with the motor show this will see owner’s clubs and dealers from the motorcycle world on display.
