The BARC meeting at Snetterton in August 2019 was headlined by the MSA Endurance Championship (Britcar). We were there on day one, Saturday, where the race-card included Classic Formula Ford, Max5 Championship, Michelin Clio Cup and Sports Prototype Cup.

The two Britcar races were dominated by the Mercedes AMG GT3 of Team Abba from the British GT Championship. The Father / Son driving pairing of Richard and Sam Neary took two pole positions and two wins from the pair of races. The two races for the Luna Logisitics Classic Formula Ford 1600 Championship proved a decisive turning point in the Championship. Coming into the meeting former British Touring Car Champion Tim Harvey was in title contention driving his Van Diemen RF81, a car he had previously raced during his early career. A sixth place finish in race one followed by retirement in race two effectively ended Harvey’s Championship challenge as eventual Champion Rick Morris driving a Royale RP29 took two race wins.  The Max5 Championship for Mazda MX-5 cars saw two wins for Paul Roddison. A pair of podium finishes from Ian Loversidge was enough to keep the Championship alive. The Michelin Clio Cup saw a win each for Ronan Pearson and James Colburn while in the Sports Prototype Cup there were wins for Rob Whealdon (Revolution A-One) and John Macrae (Radical SR3).
